Balneario Illetas' new cantina La Sardina

At La Sardina, Balneario Illetas wanted to show its more casual and beachy side. On a terrace facing the sea, this new restaurant offers you the chance to try traditional dishes with a contemporary twist.

The new establishment, also located in Illetas, boasts a pleasant, laid-back atmosphere, modern furnishings, and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The high standard of quality that distinguishes Balneario Illetas is also evident in its new beach cantina, which explores a gastronomic concept very much in line with its privileged seaside location.

With our sights set on expansion and offering exceptional service to our clients, we have expanded our gastronomic offer with the Es Port restaurant in Puerto de Andratx and La Sardina, our new cantina in Illetas.

Mediterranean cuisine

As its name suggests, the speciality of this beach cantina is sardines. We look for the freshest and highest quality fish. We prepare them "al espeto," a traditional cooking technique that involves spearing the sardines with a long flat stick (in Spanish: espeto) and grilling them over a wood fire.

Other fish and shellfish specialities on the menu include "coquinas" (saltwater clams), prawns, and fried marinated dogfish. We also serve classic meat dishes like beef carpaccio and traditional Spanish delicacies like "salmorejo cordobés" (a cold soup from Andalusia).

La Sardina's menu solely includes meals prepared with high-quality ingredients. Traditional specialities like grilled sardines and beef entrecôte are available, as are more informal alternatives like smashed burgers and pastrami sandwiches.

Choosing La Sardina for lunch or dinner means embarking on an incredible gastronomic adventure by the sea! We offer a variety of sweet treats to round off your dining experience and tickle your taste buds one last time. Light dessert options include our coconut, mango, and ginger mousse, but you may also choose a lemon pie, orange tiramisu, or chocolate coulant.

Balneario Illetas Restaurant

Balneario Illetas' history dates back to the 1950s, and after more than five decades, the company continues to reinvent itself and adapt to changing circumstances. The restaurant, located right on Illetas Beach, is open all year and provides private event facilities.
