A one-day itinerary for touring Palma

It is possible to see Palma de Mallorca in a single day! The island's capital, known worldwide as the gateway to the Balearic archipelago, is home to many amazing sights.

The wonders of this magnificent city entice both locals and tourists. And, despite having countless sights to discover, you may enjoy Palma's most spectacular charms in just one day.

Balneario Illletas has the perfect itinerary for an unforgettable day out in Palma.

A beautiful city near the sea

Although Palma is a city that deserves to be explored at leisure and to which you will undoubtedly return at some point in your life, if you know where to go and what to do, you can get to know it in a single day.

The Old Town

If there's one thing you absolutely must see, it's the old town. The gorgeous historic centre is the perfect setting for the city's main tourist attractions.

Palma's majestic cathedral, La Seu, is its architectural treasure. Another superbly maintained landmark nearby is the Almudaina Palace. The historic city walls, which are an attraction in their own right, run along the sea between these two magnificent sites, and a stroll along them will bring you to the gardens of s'Hort del Rei, a lush urban oasis.

Popular must-dos when spending a day in the Balearic capital include strolling the narrow cobbled streets of Palma's historic centre and exploring its many squares, shops and restaurants.

The city beaches

However, some prefer to be on the beach to enjoy the fantastic weather that Mallorca offers in winter. In this case, Balneario Illetas suggests visiting one of Palma's "urban" beaches, close to the city centre.

On the one side, there are the beaches between Portitxol-Molinar and Can Pastilla, which are popular among locals for their history and beauty. They consist of long stretches of sand bordered by a continuous asphalt promenade.

In Illetas, on the other side of the bay and only a 15-minute drive from Palma, we discover what many consider the city's most beautiful beach. The entire area is a natural Mediterranean wonderland with rugged relief, crystal-clear blue seas, and little dreamy coves.
